Associate Professor Rhea Liang is a general and breast surgeon, Surgical Lead at Bond University and Chair of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Operate with Respect Committee. In this episode we explore her journey from a hard working University of Auckland medical student, to taking a break to go backpacking around the world, having children during her surgical training, and now studying the highly impactful topic of intersectionality in the development of the professional surgical identity in her PhD.
